The location walk from a palace and a castle was great. The hotel walk from cafes and a stadium. WiFi, a kitchenette area and a kettle in the room and the exceptionally comfortable bed. Excellent food combined with a helpful service.

Just a great match for a short stay with very nice value for money. The small room had all new appliances in the bathroom despite being tough to maneuver. Be prepared for tight spaces if you book here.

Nice and close to easy public transport to get into the centre of Edinburgh.
TV didn't work and staff not concerned to try and fix it!

Excellent value for money. Very good facilities, given the low rate. *Excellent* and friendly treatment by the lady at the reception (and an error made in the booking was corrected on the spot, by upgrading our room at no extra charge). Great location (park opposite, I was woken up by ducks in the morning ;-) ), restaurants and take-away round the corner, or almost.
If that matters, it is a bit far from the city centre (through on a straight line from there, practically), but there seems to be abundant bus coverage in the area. I'd chosen to rent a car, and had planned to avoid the centre (travelling on business), so the hotel was a good choice for me (near the exit to the east coast).

Really comfortable experience, the hotel is pleasant with practical location handy to local bus transport. The best thing is location - close enough to a bus route as well as the park. There is Cutting Chaii serving quick meals 5 mins walk from the venue.

Well I didn't actually stay there because something got messed up with my reservations and was put in another hotel a couple of doors down.

As a wildlife conservationist, my stay at Adelphi was good. Charming decor complemented the serene atmosphere, providing a cozy retreat after a day of exploration. A bit more attention to cleanliness would enhance the experience, yet the accessibility and lovely views captivated me.

Nice big room. Not far walk from the sea side with restaurants and bars (although restaurants' kitchen closes about 10pm, there is a good take-away opened till midnight).
Not in the city centre (15 mintues by bus from there). The double bed is rather small and the matrass was not convenient.

The room was big. I asked for a room for 4 and the one given to me was actually big enough for all of us to move around comfortably without getting into each other's way. The optional breakfast is excellent and well worth the additional cost.
When we arrived, we were told that they were fully booked and sent to another hotel. When we arrived at the second hotel, we were told that there had been a mistake and were sent back. I was not happy lugging my luggage around trying to check into an accommodation. It seems to me that the room was not properly checked before we were given the keys. The light bulbs and the TV did not work. The TV was fixed after a short wait but we had to wait for the person in charge to return before the bulbs can be replaced. It was quite late into the night before it was fixed,

The stay was quite pleasant, especially thanks to the spacious family room that was perfect for relaxing after days out exploring local attractions. The daily cleaning kept everything fresh, which was appreciated, along with the cozy beds that the kids loved. it would have been great to have a mini fridge in the room. it offered solid value for a family trip.

The room i got was desciribed as basic, Basic it was. I have stayed in better bedsits, the toilet was down the hall. The bed was an old wooden bed, very uncomfortable, although the sheets were clean. The hotel is in need of a full revamp.
